There was a huge demand for the Telugu remake rights of Thani Oruvan and with Ram Charan Tej expressing his interest in acting in Telugu remake all the top producers were trying to get their hands on the film rights.
Finally NV Prasad and D.V.V.Danayya acquired the Telugu remake rights of Thani Oruvan for a whooping 5.5 crores. The makers are planning to remake this film with Ram Charan Tej and it is also said that director Mohan Raja, who have directed the original film will be directing this remake as-well. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who loved the film has bought the Hindi rights for this film with Mohan Raja as director.
It is said there won't be any big changes in terms of story, except few minor corrections to suit the Telugu nativity. Arvind Swamy got many good reviews for his role as the antagonist in the Tamil film and the makers are planning to cast him in this remake as-well. If everything goes as planned the film will go on floors as soon as Ram Charan's current film 'Bruce Lee' shoot completes which should in the month of November.
