Ram Gopal Varma (Ramu) is planning a multi-lingual (Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi) film based on the officer who killed Veerappan an most wanted bandit and sandalwood smuggler in India. In an interview Ramu said he was always fascinated by story of Veerappan and wanted to make a movie on the man who killed him.

Shivrajkumar' for the role of the person who killed Veerappan and is in search for the actors to play the role of Veerappan. It should be interesting to watch Shivrajkumar act in this movie as we know that Veerappan once kidnapped his father 'Rajkumar'. Ramu said he wants Rajkumar's son Shivrajkumar to take revenge on screen through this movie. Since the movie is about killing Veerapan he kept the title as "
Killing Veerappan". He adds that the story wont be focusing on Veerappan but the person who killed him. Ramu feels that Veerappan is more dangerous that Osama Bin Laden with only difference being Osama working on international level.
Ramu has done a lot of research on Veerappan and is currently working on the film script based on different sources and he said the shooting of the movie will start once ShivrajKumar completes his previous commitments.
