Shuddhi thought to be most anticipated movie of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions starring Salman Khan but to the surprise Karan announced the casting of the movie Salman was not part of the film but its Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Being happy finalizing the cast Karan went on to twitter and posted:
"And finally..SHUDDHI starring VARUN DHAWAN and ALIA BHATT...directed by KARAN MALHOTRA..@Varun_dvn @aliaa08 @karanmalhotra21 @DharmaMovies."(sic)Salman took twitter to congratulate him and posted:
"Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan...made ur dad n me so proud of u... happy Shhuddhi."(sic)
The movie is the dream project of Karan Johar and lot of speculations raised with the cast of movie first Karan wants to cast Hrithik and Kareena, then Deepika and Ranveer and then Salman and at last his students Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. This will be the third time Varun and Alia pairing up after Student of the Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Karan Maolhotra will be directing the film.
